Manager as Coach workshop

As leaders and managers we recognise the importance of engaging with our team members to enable them to maximise their own potential to deliver their best performance.

This one-day interactive workshop is focused on the fundamentals of coaching practice and is for leaders and managers who want to adopt a coaching style within their leadership of people. It is suitable for NHS staff with line management responsibility, or about to step into a line management role.

Learning objectives

  • Clarify what coaching is and appreciate why coaching is one of the most powerful leadership styles
  • Explore why we need to positively manage performance of teams and individuals and recognise how coaching enables us to do this
  • Increase awareness of the various coaching models, techniques and tools available to support us to effectively lead others
  • Have the opportunity to practically apply the coaching tools and models, developing the skills to hold effective coaching conversations with staff at all levels
